An externship is a short-term, practical learning experience where university staff members spend time working in professional settings outside the university to gain firsthand industry experience and insights.

Externship Periods
8 Weeks Duration - Flexible Scheduling Options
During Semester
If the staff has no course or has a load of 3Cr.Hr or less in the semester
Semester Break
By exempting staff from assigning final exam duties during break periods
Summer Period
After the end of the 2nd semester final examinations of every academic session
Externship Step by Step
Complete Guide from Application to Completion
Pre-Externship Application
Application Procedure:
- Academic staff apply based on the call for externship
- Submit proposal/concept note for the attachment program
- Letter of approval from host company (if any)
- Performance evaluation result of two consecutive semesters
During Externship
An Extern is expected to:
- Submit Support Letter from coordination office to host company
- Send regular Progress Report to coordinator
Post-Externship Requirements
An Extern must:
- Report Externship Findings to department and responsible offices
- Present Findings in a public defense
Required Reports:
- Weekly report forms
- Industrial Training Reflection Report
- Feedback form on IAP
- Industrial Attachment Evaluation Form
